Firebird Russian Restaurant? Julian can. He spent two years on the fine custom cabinetry and trim for its rare-book library, bar, and other elegant dining rooms. But the beauty and lifestyle of the Southern Tier called to him-especially as a place to raise his son. At Foster Custom Woodworks, he fabricates, assembles, finishes, and installs. He's particularly pleased to work at a place where excellence and attention to detail are deeply valued, in the company of all-around "great guys." In addition to fine woodworking, his passions include his wife and son, fishing, restoring old motorcycles, and helping friends. On his to-do list: build a canoe or kayak.
