Kitchen Planning and Design

Our approach to kitchen planning and design and depth of expertise set us apart from others in our business. Our style of working is highly collaborative, and the uniqueness of each customer stimulates our creativity and problem-solving. Here's a general description of our process; within each step are often brief creative "detours."

  1. Understanding and analysis. We get to know you and ask a lot of questions that enable us to understand your wants, needs, preferences, habits, lifestyle, tastes, and all the other factors that will ultimately influence your satisfaction with your kitchen. We also talk with you about your budget.
  2. Preliminary Sketches. Once we understand you and your kitchen needs, wants, and dreams, we develop several preliminary plans showing what-goes-where and ask you about what you like and dislike about them.
  3. Sketches - Round 2. Based on your feedback, we refine the plans and talk with you again.
  4. Exploring Options. All the "stuff" that goes into a kitchen leads to an overwhelming number of choices. By now, we know you-and your budget-well enough to guide you in choosing cabinets, countertops, flooring, appliances, fixtures, hardware, and all the other elements that make a kitchen what it is. Our showroom is a great resource.
  5. Cost Estimate. Once you've made choices and settled on a design, we can develop a cost estimate for all the materials. We also ensure that the design will meet current building codes and safety standards.
  6. Final Design Drawings and Specifications. With decisions finalized, we produce CAD drawings and detailed specifications that allow you to visualize your kitchen and aid in installation.
